What is Flag Football?

Flag Football is a non-contact and semi-contact version of American Football. The game is played either 5-a-side non-contact or 9-a-side semi-contact and teaches the fundamentals of American Football. Flag Football emphasises participation and fun - everyone plays and everyone contributes no matter how big or small or young or old. It's a simple game that is quick and easy to learn. There are many advantages to this game - here are a few:

• No full contact. A player is "tackled" when an opponent removes his or her flag.
• No expensive kit required - all a player needs is a pair of football boots / trainers. Flag belts and footballs are usually supplied.
