Stats: 25 rushing TDs for the Eagles since 1996, and 42 sacks and 3 safeties, 3 receiving TDs.

Inspired by Chicago bears in Superbowl XX - joined Leicester Panthers supporters club in February 1986 to learn how to play properly. Moved on to kitted with the Charnwood Beacons in September 1987, being selected to play in a friendly against Tamworth....which we won. Given a starting D-end spot the same year. Played in all games in 1988. Suffered a broken spine in the UKAFL Steelbowl finals (Sept 17th 1988). Came back to play in January but was not allowed to play in game situations despite a 95% recovery. Was offered the defensive co-ordinator role which he accepted. The Beacons won the BNGL Premier Northern A conference and progressed to the semi finals of the bowl. The frustration of not being allowed to play in games (and still train at full tilt) forced him to leave the game altogether at the end of the 1989 season.

He started to train with a largely inactive Leicester team just for fun throughout the following 4 years or so. It was during one of these spells that flag football was being re-invented and he was invited to join the team (renamed the Europa Eagles after our sponsor} in late 1995. He was selected to play for England v Ireland in May 2000 (two sacks) and in July 2000 England v Scotland (four sacks). March 2004 selected to play for the North of England v the South. (2 sacks and a safety).

Recently competed for Team England in the World championships in Miami, and has been selected to play in the North v South fixture for 2005. Eagles Defensive player of the year 96-97, 97-98, 98-99, 2000-2001.
