Leicester Eagles Extend League Lead

Leicester Eagles maintained their healthy lead in the ESFL league table with three wins out of three in their own tournament at Belgrave Rugby Club.

After impressively disposing of the London Liberty 19-8, they edged Team Voodoo 14-6 to set up winner-take all match up with the Chichester Sharks. The Sharks had defeated Team Voodoo 25-7, before slipping 28-20 to the Liberty in a high scoring match-up. WIth the scores tied at 13-13, the Eagles won the match with a hail mary pass on the last play of the match to win 20-13 and take the tournament victory.

Team Voodoo, who travelled with just 5 players, shocked the London Liberty with a 28-21 victory in the penultimate game of the day.
