Hyde Park Tournament Details

4th July 2002


The first BSFL 5 on 5 ranking tournament of 2002 will take place on Hyde Park, London on Sunday July 14th. All results from this tournament will count towards the final BSFL 5 on 5 league table.

Invicta Coyotes
Leicester Eagles
Bournemouth Raiders
Birmingham Raiders

Following unanimous approval from all the teams involved all teams will play each other twice. The games will last 20 minutes long with a running clock, with the last 1 minute of each game being played with the clock stopping for incompletions and man running out of bounds.

1.15pm - Birmingham Raiders vs. Leicester Eagles (Invicta reffing)
1.40pm - Bournemouth Raiders vs. Leicester Eagles (Birmingham reffing)
2.05pm - Birmingham Raiders vs. Invicta Coyotes (Leicester reffing)
2.30pm - Invicta Coyotes vs. Bournemouth Raiders (Birmingham reffing)
2.55pm - Bournemouth Raiders vs. Birmingham Raiders (Invicta reffing)
3.20pm - Leicester Eagles vs. Invicta Coyotes (Bournemouth reffing)
3.45pm - Leicester Eagles vs. Bournemouth Raiders (Birmingham reffing)
4.10pm - Birmingham Raiders vs. Invicta Coyotes (Bournemouth reffing)
4.35pm - Birmingam Raiders vs. Leicester Eagles (Invicta reffing)

All teams will referee 3 other games not involving their own team.

There are further BSFL 5 on 5 tournaments scheduled for later in 2002. Leicester will be hosting one in August, and North Devon Dogs will be hosting one in September/October, and the final tournament of the year is scheduled for Bournemouth in December.

All teams to meet at the Edinburgh Gate on the south side of Hyde Park (just over the road from the Knightsbridge tube station) at 11.30am, and will then look to try to mark the pitch out in the same place as where Bournemouth played Brighton in a pre-season game (over the other side of the Serpentine - where the K is on Park). If you're driving, there is an underground carpark in Hyde Park (on the east side of the park), but there is parking in the side streets on Sundays (you don't need permits) and there are quite a few car parks around.
