BSFL Week 9 Preview

The London Gators host a three-team tournament on Sunday which also involves the Bournemouth Raiders and the Canterbury Coyotes. The fixtures will complete the Southern Conference regular season and the two semi-finalists from the South will then be known.

The Gators (4-0) are in pole position to take the Southern Conference, and only need to win one of their two games on the day to win the title. Led by star QB Brett Barash they will be expected to win both of their games comfortably. The Bournemouth Raiders against Canterbury Coyotes game is the crunch game on the day. The Raiders (3-1) are in the better position at present, courtesy of a 14-8 home victory against the Coyotes (2-2) three weeks ago. The Coyotes know that a win by 7 points or more will be enough for them to leapfrog the Raiders in the table and finish second. If they don't it will be the Raiders who qualify.

The tournament is at Twickenham Rugby Club and kicks-off at 1pm. Schedule for the day: London Gators vs. Bournemouth Raiders 1pm, London Gators vs.Canterbury Coyotes 2.30pm, Canterbury Coyotes vs. Bournemouth Raiders 4pm.
